Common upper materials

Surface changes character.

Calf and grain leather

Calf can take a refined polish; grain adds texture, resilience and a more relaxed visual weight.

Suede

A soft nap with rich colour absorption, suited to loafers, monks, boots and relaxed formal styles.

Patent and velvet

High-shine or deep-pile evening materials for black tie, slippers, opera pumps and ceremonial designs.

Fabric and mixed uppers

Woven, supplied or contrasting materials can be assessed for made-to-design commissions.
